I have been involved in a variety of industries and my experience has included:

Working in Franchise Development has allowed me the opportunity to report directly to the Vice President of Franchise Development to ensure the successful franchise sale completion.

Duties included marketing research to create promotional strategies to sell in various markets. This involved travelling to these markets to investigate opportunities such as local business grants, community events and trade shows. Additional activities included completing comparison analysis studies for various candidates to identify appropriate opportunities, outreach connecting online platforms to list franchises, cold outreach calls, incoming new candidate calls and overseeing candidate qualifications while guiding them through the available opportunities. Following a candidate being awarded a franchise, activities included training material completion to ensure they upheld brand standards. Duties also included creating a promotional plan including a budget for franchisees looking to sell. For incoming franchise partners communication also included details on our referral program, hosting small group training sessions and conducting presentations at our semi-annual seminars.

Working at Wordtech Publishing Inc. provided me experience in technical writing, policy and process development, marketing, magazine production and social media. 

During the same time, I have worked in the hospitality industry in various roles. Canopy by Hilton Toronto Yorkville provided a management position where I was involved in developing operating policy/procedures, employee handbook development, team recruitment/management and event planning. Some of the major events included the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), specialized brunch and dinner events and other PR event activities. 

A contract position with Flare Technologies provided project management and Request for Proposal (RFP) development experience.

Other work experiences provided valuable skill development. Cactus Club provided management and customer service experience in recruitment and training while Sobeys, Boston Pizza and Chop Steakhouse & Bar positions offered customer service experience.

All of the above roles allowed me to develop skills working in team environments meeting specific deadlines and requirements. 

I completed Social Sciences Honour Arts (Sociology) degree at McMaster University. In addition to my honour degree, I have completed specialized training in hospitality, technical writing and RFP development.
